Your role

We are seeking a Competency Specialist to join the Kent Integrated Control Centre based at Friars Bridge Court.

You will provide support in carrying out assessments on Controllers across the Southeastern Network including and the Kent Integrated Control Centre and Local Train Service Controllers.

About you

To excel in your role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Thorough knowledge of rail industry information competency management processes, policies, systems and tools
  • Good understanding of the role and working practices of Control Points and LTSCs, the KICC and Southeastern stations
  • Good knowledge of generally available and relevant bespoke IT systems
  • Good knowledge of the relevant geography, operating, train crew and station procedures for Southeastern.
  • Ability to create own inputs and influence at a number of levels in the organisation.
  • Experience of carrying out competency assessments and training and promoting change
  • Experience of leading and managing people would be an advantage
  • Able to challenge negative behaviours.
  • Be organised and able to manage their time efficiently.
  • Experience of leading and managing people would be an advantage
  • Preferably hold a verifiers qualification
  • Preferably worked in an Operational Control environment

Working here

Based from our Head Office in Blackfriars you will be required to work 37 hours per week.
