Southeastern Railway are seeking an Internal Communications Manager based in Blackfriars for a 9 month maternity cover contract.

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join our team based in Blackfriars for a 9 month maternity cover contract.

As an Internal Communications Manager you will work closely with the Senior Internal Communications Manager and the wider business to develop and deliver a variety of communications plans which will support internal campaigns designed to achieve employee engagement and business objectives.

This will include leading on identifying and creating content for our news channel, as well as communications for our employee survey and D&I initatives.

You will be a self starter who is tenacious and can evidence strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

To excel in this position you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven track record in assisting in the delivery of successful communication campaigns
  • Journalistic skills and good PR judgement – with a good eye for a story
  • Strong background in internal communications and engagement
  • Experience in planning and producing communication and publicity material
  • Proven ability to present complex material in a simple, understandable way
  • Experience of project management, time management and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent copy writing & proof reading skills
  • Understanding of print production process and design
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong grasp of new technology
  • Strategic thinking ability

Working here

Based from our Head Office in Blackfriars you will be required to work 37 hours per week. There will also be an on-call requirement on a rota basis (one week in every eight).
